Activision to Publish Bungie’s New Games
UPDATE: Microsoft has issued its first reaction to today’s news of a 10-year publishing deal between Activision and Bungie. Speaking to CVG, a Microsoft spokesperson said, “Our partnership with Bungie as a first-party developer for Xbox 360 remains unchanged, and right now we’re deeply engaged with them on the development of Halo: Reach, which is poised to be the biggest game of 2010.” This further seems to suggest the Activision/Bungie deal does only pertain to any games in Bungie’s unannounced new franchise, as Microsoft’s wording suggests they may still act as a publisher for other Bungie games in the future
