Electronic Arts has published a list of 17 titles, primarily for consoles, that will be losing their online functionality next month, including Battlefield 2: Modern Combat , Army of Two , and Skate . Activision has announced the very first ever Call of Duty XP, a two-day event being held in September where more than 6,000 fans will be able to celebrate Activision’s first-person shooter series. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 ‘s multiplayer mode will make its world premiere at the event, as will the full slate of Call of Duty Elite functionality

A selection of the most interesting games due to hit Japan next week, courtesy the review pages of Famitsu magazine: – L.A.
Both this guy and the majority of respondents to a Famitsu magazine poll agree: Nintendo had the best showing at the Electronic Entertainment Expo earlier this month. The publisher, which formally announced the Wii U and announced updates to a lot of their core franchises at E3, took the top place in a poll run on Famitsu’s website that asked readers which company put on the strongest overall presentation at the show.
