Battlefield 3 Tops Batman: Arkham City in October NPDs
It may not have been able to top Call of Duty: Black Ops when it comes to being the most popular game played on Xbox Live, but Battlefield 3 was — at least for a month — able to take the top spot on the NPD sales charts for October. Battlefield 3 came in at “just under” 2 million units across all platforms in the United States. That’s not a terrible figure for a game released at a time where it had only five days to track in the month, but compared with today’s news of rival Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 selling 6.5 million units in the U.S.

Call of Duty Breaks Another Record as Modern Warfare 3 Sells 6.5 Million Units
Much like the last two Call of Duty games, Modern Warfare 3 has had a record-breaking launch. In 2009 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 brought in an estimated $310 million during its first day in the United States and United Kingdom alone. A year later Black Ops topped that figure with $360 million on its first day in those same two markets.

Dragon Quest X is going in a much different direction than most of its predecessors. While DQIX did incorporate multiplayer elements, DQX is going even further in the direction of being an MMO .

Peyton Hillis was a surprise choice for the cover of Madden NFL 12 , yet that’s who the fans voted for over the likes of Aaron Rodgers, the controversial Michael Vick, Chris Johnson, and Seattle’s 12th man. Each year it seems like the so-called Madden Curse negatively affects that year’s cover star time and again in a variety of ways. Peyton Hillis appears to be no exception.

Trailer of unreleased Kirby GC game Before Kirby’s Return to Dreamland hit earlier this week, it had been 11 years since a core Kirby game was released on consoles. Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards came out in 2000 and since then Kirby has been limited on consoles to Air Ride , Epic Yarn , and his appearances in the Super Smash Bros
