Following up last week’s announcement of Rush’s 20-minute-long “2112″ suite being included in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, Activision just revealed 22 more tracks for their upcoming rhythm game. Of particular note are the tracks by Alice Cooper and The Runaways, which were rerecorded by their respective artists specifically for Warriors of Rock.

A little over four years past between the releases of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5 , but if Capcom’s current plans come to fruition, we’ll only have to wait half the time for Resident Evil 6. Speaking to Japanese publication Nikkei (via Andriasang ), the publisher said they intend to increase the output of releases in their most popular franchises by cutting development time with overseas outsourcing. According to the report, Capcom plans to rely more on North American and European studios to develop new entries in their established franchises

Rumors of the new NBA Jam heading to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 have been circulating since the game was announced, and now it seems all but officially confirmed. An ESRB rating has popped up (above), clearly marking the game for the two HD systems

During their Comic-Con panel today, Harmonix announced six new artists for Rock Band 3 : Def Leppard, Filter, Marilyn Manson, B-52s, Foreigner, and Tears for Fears. The tracks for each band are as follows (via Destructoid ): The B-52s’ “Rock Lobster”; Def Leppard’s “Foolin’”; Tears for Fears’ “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”; Marilyn Manson’s “Beautiful People”; Filter’s “Hey Man Nice Shot”; and Foreigner’s “Cold as Ice.” As recently announced , Rock Band 3 is launching on October 26, with an on-disc soundtrack that’ll total 83 songs. 2K Sports has announced a new game mode for the latest iteration of its baskeball franchise, NBA 2K11, “The Jordan Challenge.” This new mode is to allow players to experience 10 of the most famous games in Michael Jordan’s career. Games include Jordan’s “self-described greatest game,” a beating of the Cavaliers by 69 points in March 1990, an “attempt to battle back from the flu” to defeat the Jazz in Game 6 of the 1997 finals, or his last game as a Chicago Bull on June 14th, 1998.

NBA 2K11 to Offer "The Jordan Challenge"
Just as Link (or a new hero that happens to always be called “Link”) almost always wields the Master Sword in a Zelda game, it turns out the series itself does in-fact have an official “master timeline” — despite however slapdash the connections from one game to the next may seem. Speaking to Official Nintendo Magazine, series mastermind Eiji Aonuma revealed the existence of this definitive timeline, and that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword fits in before Ocarina of Time . “Yes there is a master timeline but it’s [a] confidential document!” Aonuma explained to the magazine (via GoNintendo ).
